34. [BRUN301] Bruno (possibly son of Ekbert, without proof) married (c.1003-05) [SWA2308] Gisela von Swabia (born November 989, daughter of DUKE HERMANN II (see SWABIA DUKEDOM). He was murdered at Niethorp (c.1010-11), and afterwards Gisela married 2. (1014) DUKE ERNST OF SWABIA (accidentally killed 31st March [or May] 1015); then 3. (1016) [GER2301] EMPEROR KONRAD II (see GERMAN DUKEDOMS & KINGDOMS). She died at Goslar (16th February 1043).

33. [BRUN311] Liudolf von Brunswick (born c.1003-05), March Count of West Friesland, married [NORG322] Gertrud von Egisheim (see NORDGAU COUNTY). He died 23rd April 1038, and Gertrud died 21st July 1077.
