11.  [BURT591] John Burton and his wife had at least two children, baptised at Felixkirk as follows:

• William (baptised at Felixkirk, 1st November 1601 IGI), buried at Felixkirk (20th June 1608 IGI);

• 10. [BURT601] Robert (born at Thirlby, baptised at Felixkirk, 4th March 1603-04), see later.

10.  [BURT601] Robert Burton (born 1603), yeoman of Thirlby, age 60, married (by licence, at Felixkirk, 4th May 1670) [JACS602] Jane Jacksone (born c.1634), also of Thirlby, age 35. The disparity between their ages will be noted. Robert was actually age 67, and very likely Jane was younger than 35, especially as one child was born in 1680. They had four children born at Thirlby, and baptised at Felixkirk as follows:

• Robert (baptised 8th October 1673);

• Lucy (baptised 11th May 1676);

• Thomas (baptised 11th May 1680).

Robert died at Thirlby (buried at Felixkirk, 5th January 1686-87), and Jane died at Thirlby also (buried at Felixkirk, 31st January 1714-15).
