28.  [FOLI421] William Foliot married 1. (c.1115) --- (died c.1122); then 2. (before c.1123) Agnes, Lady of Appleton, (born c.1092, widow of 1. Herbert de St. Quentin, then of 2. Robert Faucomberge, and daughter of [ARCS341] Osbern de Arches, see ARCHES). William was the leading baron of the Honour of Pontefract (Yorks), and died at Catfofoss (1140).

27.  [FOLI431] Jordon I Foliot (born c.1116, eldest son of William & his 1st unnamed wife) married Beatrice. He died c.1177.

26.  [FOLI441] Jordon II Foliot (born c.1150).

25.  [FOLI451] Richard Foliot (born c.1175) married [BARF362] Beatrice Bardolf (see BARDOLF).

24.  [FOLI461] Jordon Foliot (born c.1200) acquired the Bardolf inheritance, of Great Carlton (Lincs), and of Hoo (Kent).

23.  [FOLI471] Sir Richard Foliot (born c.1225), of Norton, Fenwick, Grimston and Wellow, married [DESC472] Margery d'Estouteville (see STUTEVILLE (COWESBY LINE)). Sir Richard died March 1299.

22.  [FOLI481] Sir Jordan Foliot (born c.1248), of Elsing, East Lexham, Weasenham (Norfolk), also of Norton in Campsall Parish, Fenwick, Moseley, Cowesby (Yorks), also of Grimston, Wellow (Notts). He was also the heir of his uncle [DESC471] Robert (see STUTEVILLE (COWESBY LINE)), and thereby acquired (c.1275) Cowesby and Gressenhall. Jordan married (before 1283) [NEWM472] Margery de Newmarche (born c.1244, see NEUFMARCHE). He was created 1st Lord Foliot (1295), and died before May 1299.

21.  [FOLI491] Sir Richard Foliot (born 25th December 1283), of Gressenhall, became 2nd Lord Foliot (1299). He married [BRAM492] Joan de Brewose (see BREWOSE BARONY), who had previously married 1. (c.1295) James de Bohun of Maddenstown, County Kildare, who had died May 1306. He died in Scotland (1317, before 23rd July), and Joan died before 1324.
