HERBASTUS DE CREPON

Mystery shrouds the identity of Herbastus, apparently of Danish origin, but unlikely to have been a son of King Harald II bluetooth as usually suggested. He married Cyrid (perhaps of Danish or Swedish royal descent). Herbastus probably had the following children. However, it is possible the list was produced in the past by someone assuming all persons in that era noted as being "de Crepon" were siblings, as otherwise it is remarkable that so many siblings should have had such "illustrious" descendants:

[HERB301] Herbastus de Crepon m. Cyrid
. [FZOS321] Herfast de Crepon m. ?
. [HERB312] Sibell de Crepon m. [TMON311] Hugh de Montgomery
. [HERB313] Avelina de Crepon m. [BOLE351] Osbern de Bolebec, Lord of Longueville
. [HERB314] Wevia de Crepon m. [BEAM311] Seigneur Thorold de Pont-Audemer
. [HERB316] Gunora de Crepon m. [NORM291] Duke Richard I of Normandy
. [HERB317] Beatrice de Crepon m. [ROUE391] Vicomte Tesselin de Rouen

38.   [HERB301] Herbastus de Crepon (born c.906), Forster de Arques, perhaps married Cyrid.

[HERB315] Sibell de Crepon married Thorold de Harcourt who would appear to be the same person as Thorold de Pont-Audemer, and Sibell would appear to be the same person as [HERB312] Senfrie, see above.
