[LENS331] Lambert (son of [BOUL321] Count Eustace I, see BOULOGNE COUNTY), Count of Lens in Northern France, married (1053-54) [NORM338] Adelais (illegitimate daughter of DUKE ROBERT I, see NORMANDY DUKEDOM). Adelize had previously married 1. Count Enguerrand II, see PONTHIEU & MONTREUIL COUNTY, (killed at Siege of Chateau d'Arques, October 1053). Lambert was slain at Phalampin at the Battle of Lille (1054). Afterwards Adelize married 3. (c.1058) [AUMA331] Count Eudes III, see AUMALE COUNTY). In the Domesday Survey, Adeliza (styled Countess of Aumale) held land in Essex and Suffolk.
30. [LENS342] Judith (born 1054, daughter of Lambert) married [NTHM331] Earl Waltheof (see NORTHUMBRIA (SIWARD) EARLDOM). In the Domesday Survey, Countess Judith held land in Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Huntingdonshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Middlesex, Oxfordshire and Rutland.
