27.  [RIDE371] Galfrid (Geoffrey) Ridel [born c.1075], Count of Blaye, Lord of Witheringe, married (1096) [CHES324] Geva Lupas (illegitimate daughter of Earl Hugh, see CHESTER (AVRANCHES) EARLDOM). Geoffrey succeeded Ralph Basset as Chief Justice of England, but drowned in the "White Ship" disaster (25th November 1120).
