29. [SACK421] Herbrand de Sackville, Steward to Walter Giffard of his lands in Normandy, whilst he was in England at the time of the Conquest. For his reward Herbrand was offered either Crendon or Fawley (both in Bucks, England). Herbrand chose Fawley "on account of its beauty", and was holding it, as sub-tenant of Walter Giffard, at the time of Domesday Survey.
28. [SACK431] Sir William de Sackville, held Fawley after his father's death, and married Albreda.
27. [SACK442] Beatrice (born c.1105), daughter of William) married [GLAN442] William de Glanville (see GLANVILLE).
