7.  [THON631] Philip Thornton married (at Pickhill, 3rd August 1701) [LOFT632] Margaret Loftus, of Holme. They had seven children born at Holme, and baptised at Pickhill as follows:

• Philip (baptised 23rd August 1702); possibly married Esther;

• George (baptised 12th December 1703), possibly married Hannah;

• William (baptised 6th February 1706), died (age 4) at Pickhill (buried there, 12th December 1710);

• Mary (baptised 8th April 1708), married (at Pickhill, 21st July 1734) Thomas Appleby;

• Ralfe (baptised 15th October 1710), married (at Pickhill, 7th February 1735-36) Jane Harrison;

• Thomas (baptised 15th October 1710);

Philip died at Holme (buried at Pickhill, 27th September 1735), and Margaret died at Holme also (buried at Pickhill, 1st February 1737-38).
