10. [VEVE601] Thomas Vevers, of Armley, married (at Leeds, St. Peter, 25th June 1654) [CROY602] Margaret Croysdale, of Armley (born 1631, see CROYSDALE). Thomas Vevers had two hearths at Armley at the Hearth Tax survey (1672). Thomas & Margaret presumably had a son [VEVE611] Joshua, but there is no recorded evidence.

9. [VEVE611] Joshua Vevers married (at Armley, St. Bartholomew, 2nd May 1683) [WATS612] Mary Watson. Joshua was Church Warden at Armley (1675 and 1679). They had at least two children born and baptised at Armley:

Susanna (baptised 21st February 1683-84);
8. [VEVE621] Joshua (baptised 6th October 1685), married Sara Ellis, see later.

--- (wife of Joshua) died at Armley (buried there 8th July 1711).

8. [VEVE621] Joshua Vevers (born 1685) married (at Leeds, St. Peter, 28th January 1724-25) [ELLS622] Sara Ellis, of Armley, (born 1704, baptised at Bramley, 4th July 1704, daughter of 9. [ELLS611] Jacob Ellis). They had four children as follows:

Mary (baptised at Armley, 2nd September 1725);
Susannah (born at Redcastle [presumably intended for Redcoat], baptised at Armley, 15th March 1726-27);
Joshua (baptised at Armley, 27th May 1729), died young (buried at St. Bartholomew, 17th September 1731);
7. [VEVE632] Sarah (baptised at Armley, 21st August 1732), married John Gibson, see later.

Joshua died at Armley (buried at St. Bartholomew, 2nd January 1735-36).

7. [VEVE632] Sarah Vevers (born 1732, daughter of Joshua) married by licence (at Holbeck, St. Matthew, 14th September 1750) [GIBS631] John Gibson (see GIBSON).
