The confirmation of a link between the Vose families at Lunt and Rainford is Esther Vose (born at Lunt, 1707) who married (at Sefton, 1730) Joseph Birch. This family moved from Lunt to Rainford (between 1736 and 1738), probably following Esther's elder brother William Vose (born at Lunt, 1704), who was at Rainford by 1728.
9. [VOSE611] Thurstan Vose and his wife Mary had three children born at Lunt and baptised at Sefton as follows:
Alexander (baptised 5th April 1702);
8. [VOSE621] William (baptised 14th January 1704-05), married Jane Minshall, see later;
Esther (baptised 1st May 1707), married (at Sefton, 1st April 1730, "both of this parish") Joseph Birch. Joseph & Esther had three children born at Lunt (1731-36), followed by six children born at Rainford (1738-52). Esther was buried at Rainford (7th July 1758), and Joseph was buried there also (16th June 1782).
