8.  [WDSN621] William Woodson of Rothwell married (at Leeds, St. Peter, 27th November 1683) [WHIT622] Rebecca Whitwell, of Market Place Leeds. They had five children born and baptised at Rothwell as follows:

• Elizabeth (baptised 8th April 1689), married (at Rothwell, 26th December 1725) William Flockton ;

• Rebecca (baptised 18th November 1691), died unmarried at Rothwell (buried there, 2nd February 1727);

• Sarah (baptised 22nd November 1696), died at Rothwell (buried there, 6th November 1712);

• Mary (-), died at Rothwell (buried there, 13th June 1710).

William died at Rothwell (buried there, 25th June 1696), and Rebecca died at Rothwell also (buried there, 28th November 1721).

7.  [WDSN631] William Woodson (born 1684) married (at Rothwell, 16th December 1725) [BURL632] Mary Burnell. They had six children born at Wriglesworth and baptised at Rothwell as follows:

• William (baptised 4th December 1726);

• Benjamin (baptised 2nd April 1732), married (at Rothwell, 30th November 1757) Martha Skelton;

• Richard (baptised 14th July 1734);

• Joseph (baptised 10th October 1736), died (age 17 months) at Rothwell (buried there 12th February 1737-38);

• Rebecca (baptised 31st August 1740), died (age 10 months) at Rothwell (buried there 13th June 1741).

William (who was a labourer) died at Wriglesworth (buried at Rothwell, 31st December 1757), and Mary died at Wriglesworth also (buried at Rothwell, 13th February 1760).

6.  [WDSN641] John Woodson (born 1729) married (at Leeds, St. Peter, 23rd June 1751) [BROA642] Eleanor Broadbelt. They had eight children born at Oulton and baptised at Rothwell as follows:

• Mary (baptised 25th September 1751), married (at Rothwell, 23rd November 1779) Jonathan Seaton;

• Ellin (born 1st February 1754, baptised 1st March 1754). "Ellen Watson, otherwise Woodson, spinster" married (at Rothwell, 13th February 1781) James Nicholson;

• William (baptised 5th September 1756), married (at Leeds, St. Peter, 15th February 1787) Jane Best;

• Martha (baptised 18th March 1759);

• Ann (baptised 22nd February 1761);

• John (baptised 1st January 1764), married (at Campsall, 24th November 1793) Sarah Austick;

• 5. [WDSN652] Elizabeth (baptised 29th May 1766), see later;

• Sarah (baptised 16th September 1770), married (at Rothwell, 26th June 1797) John Goslin.

John (a labourer) died (age 66) at Oulton (buried at Rothwell, 28th February 1796).
